Media Planning Account Manager

Our client is one of the world’s largest global communications groups, operating in over 100 countries. The Group is made up of two major divisions: Creative and Media Group which allows for great integration across the group.

 

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join the team. The role will be part of the client planning team in charge of developing integrated solutions across two clients, reporting into the Account Director and covering all media with a focus across broadcast and digital channels. 

Client Planning holds the keys to the client brief and are responsible for delivering excellence in client servicing by understanding the DNA of the clients’ business and marketing objectives.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of key clients and projects, providing first class service to clients as well as delivering quality and innovative solutions.

  • Create the best communications plans to meet client’s business targets and continuously optimise clients’ communications plans.
  •  
  • Have a keen focus on pushing innovation, creativity and driving performance on client’s businesses.
  •  
  • Keep up-to-date with cultural/social trends, competitive information and customers’ views
  •  
  • Work collaboratively with the trading teams and evaluate campaign effectiveness
  •  
  • Respond to all requests with speed and enthusiasm within agreed deadlines, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times
  •  
  • Approach all requests and personnel with enthusiasm and professionalism internally and externally
  •  
  • Be trained on (and ensure best practice on) all systems/data sources relating to the planning and buying process (i.e. Nielsen, TGI)
  •  
  • Work with the digital team to manage all relevant technical campaign logistics (eg, digital tracking setup)
  •  
  • Proactively sharing “new news” relating to the media industry and clients’ competitors, showing a passion for their business beyond the campaigns we plan

 

People Management:

  • Working as a fully collaborative, positive team player across the Agency, actively supporting and sharing learnings via the peer to peer initiatives

  • Evidence of good commitment to the appraisal process and taking an active interest in his/her own development
  •  
  • Acting as an ambassador for the agency, inspiring others and demonstrating agency values.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, from a media agency environment
  •  
  • Curious about the world of media and advertising, keeping one eye on the changing landscape to see how this could impact clients
  •  
  • Experience of managing individuals; ideally more than one person
  •  
  • Established cross-media (offline and online) planning experience.
  •  
  • Ability to foster relationships with internal client planning teams as well as directly with our clients, in delivering the planning product
  •  
  • Business minded with an ability to demonstrate uncovering insight to create the most effective communications plans
  •  
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programmes: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook would be helpful
