International Account Director

Working within the international department of this lead Agency group, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting global and international clients across insight, media, creative and digital. They have a dynamic, entrepreneurial and collaborative culture with a roster of great accounts across a wide array of sectors. 

 

Their experience and understanding fulfil the needs and challenges of international clients and they model team structures around them. From “highly centralized”, managing multiple markets from one hub, to more coordinated or decentralized needs. In all cases, seeking to add value by leveraging central and local media expertise and the totality of or client’s media investments 

 

The Role: 

 

This is an opportunity to take an account leadership role on some leading accounts with a great variety.

 

The role will be part of the core client leadership and planning team and be responsible for a team of 2x Account Managers and 4x Account Executives. 

 

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Ownership of client briefs – from strategy to implementation through to detailed reporting, optimisation and insight generation
  •  
  • Owning responses from client brief to execution ensuring that team and agency output is best in class 
  •  
  • Manage the client relationship on a day to day basis, coordinating the execution of the media plan with other internal specialist teams and with media owners as required
  •  
  • Working closely with the client and managing partner to understand client business challenges and identification of suitable additional agency services to address the client’s needs
  •  
  • Places the client’s needs at the heart of all delivery and building strong, meaningful relationships with client peers
  •  
  • Managing external agency partner relationships & developing/managing ways of working in tandem
  •  
  • Setting a high standard for industry/sales community relationship building
  •  
  • Drive innovation and fresh thinking across the client’s business as well as across the agency
  •  
  • Ensures managers and execs are working to deliver integrated plans that display a deep understanding of all channels
  •  
  • Owns the training, management and growth for all four direct reports
  •  
  • Managing the internal process of forecasting future media investment from the clients and complicated invoicing processesHas a passion and enthusiasm for the evolving international marketing communications landscape and inspiring others to feel the same

  • Continuously searching for new improved ways of approaching tasks and processes, and encouraging team to do the same

 

 

Skills, Experience & Character:  

 

  • Star talent! With a passion and thirst to thrive in the media industry
  •  
  • Circa five years’ experience which includes international media knowledge and cross channel planning/buying experience
  •  
  • An enthusiastic team player with experience of fostering a collaborative team culture
  •  
  • Advanced communication skills to uphold relationships across a range of internal & external partners
  •  
  • Working knowledge of paid, owned, earned and shared media and experience of evolving brands from a traditional media model is essential for this role
  •
