About the Role

There has been a big change in the way the client approaches advertising. Digital’s share of media budgets and resource is growing year on year. They are busy putting the digital infrastructure in place to take this to the next level.

Last year they created a bespoke programmatic buying solution for the client which takes advantage of the best specialist resource, technology and data from the wider Agency to provide a transparent buying model. This exciting role will help to connect the pipes required to expand on the Agency’s digital buying capabilities. This is being realised through the creation of a new Biddable Team. The team is aimed at coordinating all spend on so-called biddable media channels across Europe (YouTube, Programmatic, Social, Search).

This is a technical role, so knowledge of the DoubleClick stack is a pre requisite, and the ability to connect the necessary tools and systems will be critical. You will become the agency DoubleClick expert and be supported by a Digital Account Executive, providing the data analysts and Live Planner (a new hire) with the platform to make biddable channel recommendations across Europe to drive effectiveness and find efficiencies within digital media budgets.

DoubleClick/Biddable Team

  • Be the DoubleClick expert within the agency. Manage the consolidation of data into the tool and produce processes for the Biddable Team to roll out to additional markets
  • With the planned consolidation of digital media performance and cost data within the DoubleClick stack, relevant experience of DoubleClick is essential:
    • DCM – day to day experience with the DCM UI, knowledge of trafficking process and campaign setup, audience creation and confidence using Report Builder for PCA and ad hoc requests
    • Floodlight Tags – understanding of 3rd party tagging, opportunities and limitations
    • DBM – good to have executional experience on DBM, if not other DSPs
    • DC Studio – knowledge of dynamic creative processes and feed sheet
  • Demonstrate the ability to find solutions as and when data regulations change
  • Support wider Biddable team and Analytics team to provide reporting and help optimise budgets and channel usage
  • Ensure the Agency Biddable Team and wider programmatic team are integrated at a European level
  • Share DoubleClick knowledge with the rest of the Biddable team and wider agency


Programmatic/Brand Safety Strategy

  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of a range of programmatic suppliers, creative solutions, tech providers, buying models, ad verification partners and 3rd party data companies
  • Evolve best practice approach to programmatic and brand safety across Europe. Drive continued adoption of bespoke Headlight programmatic buying solution
  • Work with the Audience Team to support with roll out of DMP, Adobe Marketing Cloud, and transition of existing digital media buying requirements and integrations with data partners
  • Help to develop best in class approach to dynamic creative especially for always on campaigns
  • Contribute to documents to help drive programmatic education within the agency and clients


Digital Media Planning/Buying

  • Provide digital media expertise and input to planning teams work on specific car launches when required
  • Respond to ad hoc briefs for central paid support across multi market, manage campaign execution working with Biddable team through to PCA
  • Proactively bring to the team new digital developments and digital channel opportunities


Client Servicing

  • Confidently engage with key clients stakeholders when dealing with any digital comms/media planning subjects
  • Overseeing day to day client contact around programmatic


Experience Required

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in programmatic and DSP implementations, as well as a deep technical knowledge of the DoubleClick stack. You will be familiar with and have experience of Programmatic tools, campaign delivery and participate actively in Programmatic discussions internally and with client. At least 5 years digital media experience required (will consider both local and international experience)


Experience, Qualifications & Skills

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Solid experience in a digital media role (with digital buying experience)
  • Practical understanding and experience in delivering Programmatic campaigns from at least one DSP
  • DCM expertise required, DBM, DC Studio is beneficial
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent oral, literacy and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Effective and efficient working style
  • Reporting experience and understanding of analytics tools
  • Highly organised
