Digital and Data Manager (EMEA). Automotive

This is a pivotal role to support the delivery of our clients ambitious mission of becoming the Digital Automotive Champion. Working in partnership with the Digital and Data Acceleration Lead, you will co-create the Regional Digital and Data Acceleration roadmap to systematically drive digital marketing excellence for this market-leading automotive brand.  You will also be responsible for leading specific projects to deliver against the roadmap, leadership will involve internal collaboration as well as client presentation.  Supported by a team of data and digital channel specialists, you will deploy the vision across the entire local agency community in Europe.


The Role:

  • Create and execute a vision that outlines the key transformation levers that will drive disproportionate effectiveness for the client across all digital channels and data-marketing techniques.
  • Manage the delivery of the clients European future digital strategy – with emphasis on Social Media, Search Advertising, Programmatic Display and Marketing Technology.
  • Liaise with clients around all aspects of digital technology – including tracking, DMP, ad tech.
  • Ensure best-in-class output from all local teams and Regional Team colleagues – both through mentoring and directly influencing the quality of team output.
  • Ensure team is delivering award-winning work and achieving recognition as an agency in the wider market.
  • Build positive connections with experts within the agency group and the broader industry.
  • Support our relationship with external partners; Google, Twitter, Facebook and Flashtalking.
  • Initiate digital best practices for Europe and roll out to local markets.
  • Contribute to the future direction and every-day performance of the team by being a vocal, and committed team-player.
  • Maintain focus on and commitment to executing the strategy for multiple years.


About You:

  • An experienced digital operator comfortable driving conversations in Search Marketing, Social Media, Programmatic Media, Data-Management platforms and marketing technologies
  • A persuasive, resilient and energetic individual who is comfortable operating in uncertainty and motivated by setting and hitting ambitious targets.
  • Personal interest in the dynamics of digital transformation and its effect on the marketing and/or automotive industries.
  • Has gravitas & energy; a confident presenter – is reassuring and inspirational.
  • Able to make a complicated concept seem simple for our clients.
  • Has the vision to shape and build a digital proposition that is best in class within the agency.
  • Able to proficiently gather, analysis and provide useful insights from large sets of digital performance data.
  • Able to build and enforce strict process
  • Buys in to a wider agency operation that is looking for an integrated approach, but with channel capability to compete with any digital specialist.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
