The mission of the business development team is to build brand equity and drive organic and net new business growth. The Senior Business Development Manager will sit within the Business Development team, supporting the Head of New Business and Business Development Director, across all key deliverables, driving best practice & consistency centrally & across the Agency network.
The Business Development team’s key priorities are to:
Find new sources of revenue with new clients and organic growth within existing clients –ensuring there is a solid pipeline.
Be responsible for helping run successful new business and retention pitch processes, working with the wider team
Be responsible for helping execute business development plans/ strategies and framing opportunities and solutions.
Ensure accurate reporting of new business performance, globally, regionally and locally.
Innovate and grow the network and business development community
Set a tone that is confident, smart and ambitious across the global network and understand how to achieve the greatest potential for the business.
Play integral role on defined Global & EMEA pitches from process and logistics to working closely with New Business Lead to ensure excellence across Credentials, RFI, RFP & presentation stages, leading where appropriate/ as requested e.g. on RFI’s, etc.
Pitch Process & Best Practice Pitch sharing:
Work in close collaboration with Head of New Business/ Business Development Director to ensure the Agency’s Global pitch process is adhered to and practiced on all New Business pitches. Support Head of New Business/Business Development Director, in ensuring Best Practice pitch work is identified and shared with the network, plus creating corresponding assets/collateral and cascade to all markets i.e. via New Business hub.
Support Business Development Director in building a short-& long-term, relevant and robust pipeline for the Agency, by identifying core Global and regional targets through a robust qualification process, gain senior stakeholder sign-off, develop strategy & approach, assign leader and support delivery plus monitor progress. Work with marketing team to develop relevant and insightful Thought Leadership.
Project management lead and support:
For example, support Head of New Business in developing Agency’s sell behind the new product story along with relevant assets and collateral. Support development plan for internal roll-out and comms. plus consider need for external comms./ PR, etc., working with Marketing team. Collaborate with Business Development Director to ensure new initiatives becomes a core part of organic growth, prospecting, & pitches.
Pipeline Reporting support:
Responsible for delivering accurate reporting to ensure timely and robust New Business decision making globally, regionally and locally.
Key skillsets required:
Circa 6+ years ad agency/ marketing/ new business/sales experience
Passionate about media communications
Natural interest in technology, innovation and popular culture
Strong, commercial and strategic team player
Great at multi-tasking and calm under pressure
Ability to deal with all levels of seniority and a wide variety of personalities and cultures
Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Day to day management and leadership of Business Development Manager/Exec
