Our client is a major Network Media Agency and they are seeking a Senior Account Manager to sit within a specialist client focused team within the Entertainment sector. You will focus on the clients key TV channels across EMEA as well as having a wider remit for their brand extensions into other areas beyond TV channels and programmes.
The role is part of a well established team and you will personally be responsible for developing and nurturing junior talent. Due to the set up of this division you will also work closely and alongside other key professionals within Digital, Strategy, Insight, Social and Partnerships.
They are responsible for managing all media planning, competitive reporting, co-ordination of the markets, and a host of larger strategic projects on behalf of the client. They are seen as a key partner to the client and work very closely as consultants rather than a traditional media agency role.
Day to day key contact for this leading entertainment client, managing the key areas of your remit.
Working with and managing the team
Delivering RTB media guidelines for new and returning TV shows
Working with the team on a series of broader strategic projects. Typically these look at broader issues effecting the broadcast and digital marketplace, and audiences
Managing PCAs for campaigns run
Co-ordination of media activity with local markets
Presentations to clients and internal teams
Strategic development and planning (in conjunction with the team) for new campaigns
The social manager puts together monthly and quarterly reports. You would be expected to help manage this process and contribute to how these documents and presentations develop over time
Working with the broader team across the account
Getting to know and working with a wide marketing team at the client.
Preparation for internal and client-facing media summits
Some EMEA travel requirements (occasional)
Learning & Development
Development opportunities will be provided for the candidate to improve their strategic thinking, and learn how to create RTBs for social media and other channels. Working with our strategy director, to a development programme, and likely time spent with other strategists in the team to expand knowledge and skills
Spend time with investment and digital team to understand more deeply how campaigns are developed and planned
Working with the Talent team, develop management skills further over the next 12 months. In Year 1 attend 5 week training programme: Magnificent Managers
International media experience essential, with a strong planning & media presentations background.
Knowledge of current media landscape across EMEA, especially digital media, is important
Adept at keeping on top of best practises & industry news
Knowledge of the broadcast TV landscape, Pay-TV environment and new competitors such as Netflix helpful, but not essential
Knowledge of the kids media landscape also helpful, but not essential
