(Senior) International Account Manager (Global Tech client)

We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join the central planning and coordination team of this leading International Media Agency. This team is unique within the company in that the International team work very closely with the UK planning team to ensure clear communication and alignment between International and UK, the clients priority market. As the Account Manager, you would report to the Account Director on the day to day running of the account, leading communications planning, account management, insights and idea development for all related campaigns.

 

The client  is a dynamic and challenging client that requires the highest level of account management, insight, strategic input and diligence across all deliverables all the time! The expectation of the media agency is that we will constantly challenge them and provide strategic insights, innovative media ideas and effective campaigns that will ensure that the brand and its products are held in the highest possible regard by consumers. The relationship is focused on the delivery of the over-arching strategy, but in terms of implementation, the Agency only delivers offline media planning and buying and works closely with an online agency.

 

As the Account Manager, you will have a genuine interest in the tech industry and have experience developing communications plans across a diverse set of audiences. Ultimately this role spans EMEA and the ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of local market nuances across EMEA. However, this role is most focused on the candidate’s thinking, skillset and ‘fit’ with the client.

 

We are looking for someone special to join the unique team and to help lead the optimal media service to the client and product marketing teams. That person will have to have exceptional attention to detail, a genuine passion for media and plenty of energy!  The client have high expectations and they respond to individuals who are pioneering, positive and passionate. Due to the strategically centralized nature of the account, the opportunity to influence what happens in-market is tremendous. With the client working across so many categories, we are looking for a go-getter who is ready to take on the challenge with maturity, enthusiasm and positive energy.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Account Director in the effective running of the account
  •  
  • We need someone who is passionate, enjoys team work and thrives where there is little routine – the ideal candidate will be naturally curious, solution focused and will bounce ideas around the team (as no one person ever holds all the answers)

  • Lateral thinking with strong all-round communications knowledge and practical skills to lead the day to day running of the account with agency partners
  •  
  • A strong understanding of strategy and media planning across all channels including digital, who applies their knowledge from previous experience and industry benchmarks
  •  
  • Deliver best in class insights and ideas. This requires excellence and a passion for analysis of information and strategic thinking
  •  
  • Develop a close relationship with local market counterparts to ensure consistent delivery of the best service / work across the network
  •  
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify areas of growth within the relationship
  •  
  • Lead client and cross-agency meetings / calls / hangouts
  •  
  • Help drive innovation and new media leadership
  •  
  • Manage the ongoing development of the Senior Account Planner and the quality of output; being both a mentor and a manager
  •  
  • Help ensure that the agency is considered Google’s most valuable partner
  •  
  • Candidates should have circa 4+ years media experience
